How to use it
Pick your wedding date. The count shows straight away: the days to go, the date of your next anniversary, and how many days you have been married so far. On the day itself, it wishes you a happy anniversary instead.
Nothing you type is stored or sent anywhere. The count uses the date on your own phone or computer.

How it is worked out
It is plain date arithmetic. The tool finds the next date that matches your wedding day and month, and counts the days between. If you married on 29 February, we count to 28 February in the years without one. That is our choice; there is no official rule.
The material for each year comes from Debrett's list of British wedding anniversaries, the same list as our anniversary lookup. Debrett's lists every year to the 15th, then every fifth year to the 60th, then the 70th. For a year it does not cover, the tool says so rather than making one up.
Put it on your own site
Wedding venues, registrars, celebrants and bloggers can add the countdown to their own pages, free. Copy the code from the box under the countdown. It shows the countdown with a small link back to this page.
Coming up to the 60th or later? The royal message date calculator shows when to apply for a card from the King.
